Photos

The weather is getting nicer and the kids and I have been out in the yard a lot these days. With the nicer weather I get the itch to get the kids pictures professionally done again. I've really been conflicted with doing this. First it's expensive, between the sitting fee and then reproducing the shots for us and the grandparents it can get pricey. I also feel like the kids always sense the pressure when we are having photos done and are always on edge and not relaxed. I've decided from now on to take my own shots of the kids, dress them up in the cloths I would for the professional, take them to the same location we would have gone to with them and let them run free and play and get natural shots of them at play. I've been practicing in the backyard this week and even with with a camera that has a delay between shots I feel like it's something I can accomplish and be happy with the resulting photos. ( I'm going to continue to dream of an SLR camera) We've got some nice editing software on the Mac Book that I need to play with just using some basic stuff in Picasa from goggle right now, which for those of you who haven't tried it is a great FREE program that is good for managing and editing all your photos. Now to dress them up and head to the beach on a nice late afternoon to try playing with some of that great light at sunset.

Here are some of the shots I took this week that I am pleased with. These two are so photogenic and easy to get laughing :)

Spring Has Sprung!!!!

Where have we been :) Life has been crazy in the Krause house since the new year. Eric has been working in northern VA and driving home every weekend to be with the kids and I. It's been a big change for all of us but we have settled into a routine and are looking forward to Eric hopefully finding a job her in RI soon so we can be back together full time.

The kids are doing great! Emma is excelling at school and is really a sweet and caring little girl.
Wil, has moved forward by leaps and bounds. He is talking up a storm and moving from being a baby into a little boy.
